“Becoming a top bodybuilder was more than desire,” Tom says now in retrospect.
“For me it was an intrinsic need, as basic as eating and sleeping, something I had to do. It was a need that had to be fulfilled. It was obsessive. There was a willingness to die to achieve it.”
